South from the Netherlands, the next amazing town to wander through was St. Goar Germany. Located in the Rhine Gorge in the Middle Rhine it was a quaint, quiet medieval town.
Then a beautiful day greeted us in Munich, the capital of Bavaria. The history, food, and of course the Glockenspiel were amazing. A fun city to get lost in, which I definitely did at one point. Luckily, I did not wander into the WWII-era bomb that was found in the neighborhood nearby. If you get the chance to go, a stop at the Hofbrauhaus is well worth it.
The stunning views kept getting better as we headed to Innsbruck, Austria. This capitol city of Tyrol is known as a place to go skiing and mountaineering. But I jumped on the opportunity to go down the Olympic bobsled run at near 5 G’s of force. It was a little painful but completely worth it.
I’m almost done going through all of my trip photos and will post more soon! Check my facebook page for links to galleries I have posted so far. Feel free to like the page while you’re there. 🙂
